ArtShack COVID-19 statement
Following recent government advice relating to non-essential social contact ArtShack has taken the decision to postpone all workshops from today onward until further notice. This is a very hard decision as we know that this will be difficult for many of our regular participants, but we need to prioritise the safety of our participants and artists. Therefore, all Creative Development Days (Monday and Wednesday workshops), focused workshops, dance workshops and private bookings are postponed. Below is guidance relating to membership, focused workshops and ArtShack gift vouchers.
Membership (and Virtual ArtShack)
To our members, we value your support; it is your membership that funds ArtShack’s unavoidable costs such as rent, electricity and other bills. In these difficult times we ask, for those who can, please continue your membership as without this continued support the longevity of ArtShack and our ability to reopen may be in doubt. We do however realise that some of our members may themselves be in financial difficulty through this period, so the continuation of your membership is fully at your discretion. We encourage our members to get in touch to discuss membership with us and we would also encourage any of our followers who would like to support ArtShack through this period to also get in touch to discuss joining as a member. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will be launching a private and closed Facebook group for our members where we can all share artworks, talk about projects, ask for advice and continue our supportive creative approach. This will only be open to members and we will give each of you details about how to join this when it is launched. We also have plans afoot for digital workshops, tutorials and classes, these again will only be available to our members and we will of course provide our members with details about these digital projects.
All focused workshops are now postponed, we will be working with the artists to rearrange the workshops. For those of you who have booked a place and who have paid we have three options. Option 1 – you use your workshop fee (or part of your fee) as a donation to ArtShack to help us to continue through this uncertain period. Option 2 – we issue you with a gift voucher for the amount paid which can be put toward any of ArtShack’s future workshops when we reopen. Option 3 – we issue you with a full refund for the workshop fee. We will be getting in touch directly with everyone who has booked onto a workshop but in the meantime if you have any questions please email us at email@example.com
Due to the situation, ArtShack will extent the expiry date of all gift vouchers for an extra six months. We will update our records to reflect this but if you have any questions please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a private booking for a workshop at ArtShack we will be in touch with you directly to discuss options.
Your continued support
The best way to keep in touch with ArtShack will be via our social media channels, please keep liking our posts, sharing them and supporting us. Please also consider supporting ArtShack through this period by joining as a member which would give you access to our new closed Facebook group where you can share ideas and artworks, or making a donation which would be very much appreciated. If you would like to join ArtShack as a member please email us at email@example.com
Stay safe and all of our love,
Maggie, Jack and the rest of the ArtShack team.
