Introduction to making Abstract Art – Developed and run by Nada Velickovic; Artist
This is a day long workshop for beginners to learn the basics of working in an abstract way, designed to examine composition, form, colour and expression.
The day is very structured, and participants will engage in drawing and painting. We will consider mark making, with both intuitive and planned ideas. Working in an abstract way allows us the space to consider other possibilities.
Please bring any materials/equipment you would like to produce a piece of work with. Study paper and paint will be provided.
Nada is a fine artist whose abstract painting are formed using mark making, printing and stencilling to explore how lines, shapes and space interact. She then expands those elements into a dialogue that encompasses the canvas as a whole. She has a B.A. Hons degree in Fine Art from Falmouth University. Her skills include painting, drawing, collage, and mixed media work.
Nada was runner up in 2012 Saatchi Art competition and recently exhibited in the 2018 Oriel Davies Newtown.
Course times from 10am to 4pm. (with a break for lunch)
Refreshments are provided throughout the day but please bring your own lunch.
