Paint a harbour scene in watercolours

This is a full day workshop from 10am -4pm, and is suitable for both complete beginners or more accomplished painters.
Watercolour, also aquarelle, is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution.
During the first part of this day long workshop Artist Bakhtiar Umataliev will be demonstrating his watercolour painting skills, and giving expert advice (including his tips about working plein air).Following this you will be taught the basics of watercolour painting including composition, colour mixing and different brush techniques, so that you can create a painting which captures the play of light on water and the atmosphere of a small harbour scene with boats.
Please bring your own sketchpad and paints if you have some, plus lunch.
