Would you like to learn how to use your sewing machine to create artwork? Or how to develop your machine embroidery in new and exciting ways?
Working with recycled plastics and other reactive materials you will have the chance to play with melted collage techniques using a heat gun, iron and pyrography tools to create designs or images which will then be stitched into and embellished using freehand machine embroidery.
This fun workshop is suitable for both beginners and the more accomplished, and you will be guided and helped throughout.
Please bring your sewing machine (if you wish to borrow one please get in touch prior to booking).
All materials will be provided, but if you have any source material you wish to use as inspiration please bring it along.
Cost £60 which includes tea/coffee/cake throughout the day but please bring your own lunch. Free parking.
